About The What Noise?

Hi there.

I'm Ben Stroud, and I work in the field of Social Media.

I'm not an expert, I don't believe in bullshit, and I don't really like buzzwords. This blog is somewhere I let off steam and try de-code and de-mystify some of the rubbish that you can hear flying around about Social Media.

I don't believe in making social media and technology complicated.

What I do like, and believe in passionately, is the positive effect that social technology combined with good community management can have on individuals on both sides of the exchange.


When I'm not doing that, I live in Manchester with my lovely girlfriend Ana, who runs a DIY/Home Improvement blog that's pretty cool.

So now you know what I look like at the moment. Well, that depends on when you read this. I could be bloated beyond all recognition if you're reading this at some point in the future, which you will be, as time passing is one of the certainties of life, and pretty integral to life actually happening. Or something like that. I'm going on now.
